Yesterday was a great catchup in the surprisingly intense sun with my friend Chris, who’d just moved house and had had 4 hours sleep. As many burger afficionados in London know, a Bleecker burger is ALWAYS good for what ails you, and it was a great surprise to see a Gipsy Hill Outlooker available too. I’m a big fan of sour beers, and Gipsy Hill are the best I can remember in London…so far!
I’ll complain about the complete absence of social distancing another time, probably after the inevitable second UK lockdown, which feels like it’s looming. But for now here’s a celebration of the best burger and beer I know, which one of my very best friends – I feel diminished when I don’t get to see him as much as I’d like. 2020 has been a very strange year.
